Talung-talo ang isang may breeding sa walang habas magsalita ng hindi magaganda tungkol sa kanya sa pamamagitan ng Internet. Napipintasan pa siya sa sinasabi nilang pagbibintang niya sa mga taong tulad ng ex-boyfriend ng kanyang anak na patuloy namang nananahimik. Dahil dito, tama man siya o mali, siya ang nagdadala ng bigat ng sitwasyon.

Pakinggan mo ang mga nagmamalasakit sa iyo, Shawie. Walang kabutihang maidudulot sa iyo ang pagsagot sa mga bumabatikos sa Twitter. Pinagkakatuwaan ka lang nila. Paano naman, hindi sila kilala kaya hindi sila naapektuhan. Hindi tulad mo na kilala na’t may pangalan.

Derek Ramsay thanks ABS-CBN!

Actor Derek Ramsay on Tuesday thanked his former network ABS-CBN after his move to TV5 was officially announced to the media earlier in the day.

“I’d like to thank ABS for everything you’ve done. You are a big part of who I am today and I’m very appreciative of that. Thanks and best wishes,” Ramsay said in his official Twitter account.

On Tuesday, the actor signed an exclusive, three-year contract with the No. 3 network.

No figures were announced, although sources from TV5 and ABS-CBN said before Tuesday’s announcement that the contract was worth P500 million for five years.

Ramsay’s transfer to the Manuel V. Pangilinan-led network was first confirmed by ABS-CBN in a statement on April 2.

“For months, ABS-CBN has exerted efforts to make him stay as a Kapamilya. TV5, however, offered him an amount that was difficult for him to refuse,” Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, said in the statement.

Sharon Cuneta hits Twitter bashers!

Nabulabog ang Twitter world nang umalma na si Megastar Sharon Cuneta sa mga negatibong komento laban sa kanya gamit ang nasabing microblogging site.

Mula pa noong nakaraang linggo ay wala nang tigil ang aktres sa pagdepensa sa mga panirang-puri laban sa kanya at sa anak na si KC Concepcion. Maliban sa pagyurak sa kanyang pagkatao, ikinagalit ni Sharon ang isyung "abortionista" sila ni KC.

“Akusahan kayo ng anak mong abortionista tapos huwag ko patulan? Ano hahayaan ko pang ikalat nila? Sobra mga ‘yan. Mga bastos at walang modo. Dudumi ng bibig at pagkatao. Gawain siguro nila,” ani Sharon.

Suspetsa ni Sharon, die-hard fans ng aktor na si Piolo Pascual, dating nobyo ni KC ang mga basher niya sa Twitter.

“Kung hindi Kapamilya die-hard, maka-Piolo lang. Wala namang galit sa amin na ibang tao,” sabi ni Mega sa isa niyang follower. Dahil sa sama ng loob, halos ibunyag na ni Sharon ang dahilan ng hiwalayan ni KC at Piolo. “Since you won't stop bashing me and my daughter and it's all the same to you -- maybe it's time I talk and tell the whole REAL story. Okay? Tutal pareho lang eh. Tahimik kami bash kayo ng bash. Eh di kami naman kaya!"

Sa mga tweet ni Megastar, inilabas din nito ang sama ng loob dahil sa hindi pag-depensa ng binatang aktor sa lahat ng banat kay KC ng kanyang mga fans.

“KC never did anything to hurt him. He hurt her. And yes, we KNOW his fans are bashing her. We never start, we just react. Be careful. Nananahimik pa kami sa lagay na yan. Tama na kasi we should all just move on.”

“He can't say anything about KC [because] he has nothing he can say. He's a ‘gentleman’ for his image, not necessarily [because] he doesn't want to hurt anybody. Let's be honest and fair here. Sa loob nang dalawang araw, pansamantalang nanahimik si Sharon sa Twitter, pero nitong Miyerkules ng gabi, muling nag-tweet si Sharon. Aniya, bumalik siya sa Twitter para sundin ang pangako niya sa Diyos na magti-tweet siya ng Bible verses.

Ilang artista naman tulad nila Robin Padilla at Judy Ann Santos ang dumipensa din kay Sharon at nakiusap na huwag gamitin ang Twitter para makapanira ng tao.

Dolphy doesn't want us sad.

Jenny Salimao, the wife of Vandolph Quizon, promised her husband to be always there to give him the necessary morale boost, especially now that her father-in-law, King of Comedy Dolphy, is not in the best of health.

In an interview with morning show KrisTV, Salimao, who was accompanied by Vandolph, said she's the one who keeps on reminding Vandolph to be calm and be strong.

"Kasi pareho kami (ni Vandolph) mahal na mahal namin si Papa. So, ako 'yung tipo ng tao na nagpapalakas sa kanya (kay Vandolph). Kung makikita niya (Dolphy) tayong nalulungkot, hindi siya matutuwa. Sabi ko kailangan tayo ang nagpapakita sa kanya na okay lahat, masaya tayo," Salimao said.

In a previous interview, Vandolph said Dolphy is now at home and is getting better.

Vandolph Qiuzon says Dolphy is getting better!

Actor Vandolph Quizon said his father, King of Comedy Dolphy, is now in better condition.

Quizon made the comment after Dolphy's long-time partner Zsa Zsa Padilla broke down while talking about Dolphy's health.

"Okay naman si erpat (father) ngayon. He is doing good now. I think si Tita Zsa Zsa nag-breakdown siya. I think lahat naman kami may dinadala-dala kasi hindi kami sanay na si erpat ay ganoon but he is good now," Vandolph said during the press conference for ABS-CBN's fantasy show "Wako Wako" on Thursday.

"Of course, si Tita Zsa Zsa ang laging kasama ni Papa. Siya ang nakikita nang nangyayari. Pero if you see my daddy right now, nakikita ko he's okay naman. Siguro 'yung kay Tita eh naipon lang ever since before," he added.

In fact, Vandolph said his father is still able to play with his grandchildren.

"Noong isang araw bumisita kami ng mga kids ko. Nakikipagbiruan pa din pero he is still the same. Ano lang talaga, old na pero konting bawi na lang at babalik na," he said.

Vandolph said he tries to visit his father as often as possible. "Well kapag libre nandoon kami ng mga kids sa bahay niya to talk like before," he said.

Right now, Vandolph and his family are looking forward to Dolphy's 84th birthday in July. "Dapat (may party)," he said.

Asked if Dolphy could return to his acting projects, Quizon told abs-cbnNEWS.com: "Of course, gusto naman niya. Ito ang passion niya so abangan natin."

Noong Biyernes ay isang engrandeng pagtitipon ng mga pinakasikat na celebrities ang ginanap para gunitain ang ika-dalawampu’t anim anibersaryo ng 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

Naghandog sila ng isang libreng concert para sa mga kababayan natin sa pangunguna ni Ogie Alcasid. Muling nasaksihan ang pagsasama nina Kris Aquino at Ruffa Gutierrez dahil sila ang mga tumayong hosts sa nasabing event kasama pa ang isa pa nilang kaibigan na si AiAi delas Alas.

Matatandaang nagkaroon nang hindi pagkakauna­waan sina Kris at Ruffa noong isang taon at mula noon ay hindi na nila napag-usapan kung anuman ang naging problema nila. Nagkita na rin ang dalawa sa isang event sa Resorts World kamakailan pero simpleng hi at hello lang ang nangyari sa kanila noon. After its impressive finish in the Asian TV Awards late last year, TV5 is gunning for international recognition yet again as it earned two nods at the prestigious New York Festivals TV and Film Awards scheduled in April.

“The Petition for the Declaration of the Nullity of Marriage which we filed on behalf of our client Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez against her husband Yilmaz Bektas has finally been granted by the Regional Trial Court of Taguig City, declaring the same to be null and void under Article 36 of the Family Code last January 17, 2012.

“She is now officially single.

“Custody of the two children Lorin Garbriella and Venezia Loran have likewise been awarded to our client, Ms. Sharmaine Ruffa R. Gutierrez,” deklara ng kanyang mga abogado na sina Atty. Ho­ward M. Calleja at Atty. Connie J. Aquino.

Nakasaad din sa desisyon na : “WHEREFORE, judgment is hereby rendered declaring the marriage between petitioner SHARMAINE RUFFA R. GUTIERREZ and respondent YILMAZ BEKTAS celeb­ rated on March 25, 2003 as null and void ab initio on the ground of psychological incapacity on the part of the respondent under Article 36 of the Family Code with all the legal consequences provided by law.”

Ruffa Gutierrez -Yilmaz Bektas marriage annulled!

Television host Ruffa Gutierrez is now officially single after her marriage to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas has been annulled.

"The petition for the declaration of the nullity of marriage which we filed on behalf of our client, Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez, against her husband, Yilmaz Bektas, has finally been granted by the Regional Trial Court of Taguig City, declaring the same to be null and void under Article 36 of the Family Code last January 17, 2011," lawyers Howard Calleja and Connie Aquino of the Calleja Law Office, who served as Gutierrez' legal counsel, said in a statement sent to ABS-CBN News.

The custody of their two children, Lorin and Venice, was also awarded to Gutierrez.

In a taped episode of "Kris TV" aired on Friday, Gutierrez' mother Annabelle Rama said she is happy that her daughter is not in a romantic relationship right now.

"Career muna at sa mga bata. Ngayon, stop muna. Wala siyang boyfriend ngayon," Rama said. "Happy ako kasi mayroon siyang more time for her two children."

It was in 2007 when Gutierrez admitted that she and Bektas have parted ways. Rama said, however, that Lorin and Venice are still in contact with their father.

After Bektas, Gutierrez was romantically linked to actor John Lloyd Cruz, who is currently in a relationship with Shaina Magdayao.

In fairness sa TV5 at Archangel Media, pino-promote ang Valiente, hindi lang siguro nababasa ni Oyo at nakikita ang print ad nito sa mga diyaryo.

Ayon na rin sa tweet ni Oyo, sa Monday ay lalabas na sila ni JC at mas madodoble ang interes ng viewers.

TV5 mounts first quarter storm!

In what has already become its traditional premium type presentation, TV5 launched its new programs for the year that consisted of seryes, game and comedy shows, reality shows, and News & Public Affairs programs at the NBC Tent last week.

The top brass were present from its president, lawyer Ray Espinosa and EVP Bobby Barreiro, plus many of the actors and hosts although we missed a whole lot like News head Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Amy Perez, Tintin Bersola, Richard Gomez, Joey de Leon, Gina Alajar, Lourd de Veyra, Cherie Mercado and Michael de Mesa. Am glad, however, to find Chiqui Roa-Puno, Alice Dixson, Paolo Bediones, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Gelli de Belen, Shalani Soledad-Romulo, Arnell Ignacio and Martin Andanar present.

The press awaited David Archuleta whose teleserye is currently being plugged to death. Of course, we expect the official welcome of the Megastar Sharon Cuneta into the Kapatid network, which will be given another bongga treatment sometime in March.

New shows introduced were primetime classic teleserye remake Valiente and David’s Nandito Ako; the afternoon dramaseryes of a cat-like person in Felina and the tearjerker Isang Dakot na Luha; and the komikserye Kapitan Awesome.


Reality shows will fill up the entire 2012 calendar starting with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines hosted by Paolo Bediones with Tessa and Divine Lee providing home renovations to the less fortunate within seven days; Dancing Nation (we hope this doesn’t replace the originalTalentadong Pinoy); Kanta Pilipinas nationwide search for singers (hosted by Sharon?); The Amazing Race Philippines; and Temptation Island: Dare to Win inspired by the ’80s movie Temptation Island.There are game shows galore this month, with Alex Gonzaga and Chris Tiu’s Toink! Today, he is known as the face of Aksyon TV News & Sports airing on UHF Channel 41; co-hosts The Good Morning Club (formerly named Sapul sa Singko) where he hosts the new Tatay Kong Pogi Segment; hosts Crime Klasik (Fridays, 9:20 to 9:50 p.m.), his original concept; is part of Insider (Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., 10:15 to 10:45 p.m.) reporting with rotating hosts from the field weekly.

Janice de Belen: Aga Mulach asked me to marry him before!

Actress Janice de Belen revealed that actor Aga Muhlach had asked her to marry him when they were still in a relationship.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on “The Bottomline,” de Belen said she and Muhlach talked about marriage but she bowed out.

“We were young. I was still a kid myself,” she said.

De Belen said this had affected their relationship and she believes this was one of the reasons why they eventually separated.

“Noong una we were still trying to work it out pero hindi nangyari eh,” she said.

De Belen and Muhlach had a son.

Muhlach is now happily married to television host Charlene Gonzales. They have twins.

De Belen, on the other hand, is currently not in a relationship but she had children with actor John Estrada.

Shalani Soleda-Romulo mum on Willie Revillame, ‘Wiltime Bigtime’.

Shalani Soledad will be part of TV5’s upcoming noon game show. “Game ‘N Go,” which will also include Edu Manzano, Gelli de Belen and Tuesday Vargas, among others. It is slated to premiere next month. Is her inclusion in “Game ‘N Go” the reason why she is no longer in “Wiltime Bigtime?”

“The show will be in March and excited na tayo to start the show and work with Arnel (Ignacio) who I have worked with for some time sa ‘Wiltime.’ And of course, we will be working with Edu, with Gelli, with Tuesday, so of course excited din tayo,” she evasively told members of the press during TV5’s grand launch of their first quarter shows on Wednesday, February 15 at the NBC Tent in Taguig City.

Shalani added, “Kung paano sana nila winelcome yung ‘Wiltime Bigtime,’ sana i-welcome rin nila yung game show.”

The Valenzuela councilor previously announced that she’ll return to “Wiltime Bigtime” after her wedding and honeymoon with Pasig representative Roman Romulo.

‘With regards to ‘Wiltime Bigtime,’ it’s better if you ask them for specifics,” she said. “I’ve spoken with our business unit head (Jay Montelibano). Alam naman nila, sinabi ko naman na TV5 is offering me a show and I also told them that I’m considering accepting it.”

It was Willie who personally got Shalani for “Willing Willie” in 2010. Why did she talk to Montelibano and not Willie regarding the noontime show?

“I think ‘Game 'N Go’ na lang ang i-discuss natin kasi malapit na sya so let’s all be excited for the show,” she said. “I have nothing but gratefulness for the show. Lahat ng nakatrabaho ko sa ‘Wiltime Bigtime,’ love ko. Everyone that I have worked with, lahat yan, mahal ko.”

Shalani also refused to confirm reports that she cried when she was informed about her fate in “Wiltime Bigtime.”

David Archuleta has photo shoot for Bench.

“American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta did a pictorial for fashion brand Bench on Monday.

“Having fun at the @benchtm photoshoot! Good times with the Bench family haha,” Archuleta said via Twitter.

Ben Chan, head honcho of the popular local brand, also teased Twitter followers.

“Guess who's the next @benchtm endorser?” he asked, adding a link to a photo of Archuleta covering his face with his hands.

This has been a busy time for the American singer, who also performed during the fireworks competition event, Close Up Pyropalooza, at the SM Mall of Asia over the weekend.

He is also shooting a TV series and recording an album of original Filipino songs.

Although this is his fourth visit to the Philippines, he said feels this is the most special.

“It's like I have a family here now. People are very hospitable,” he said.

Archuleta has announced that he is taking two years off from the music industry.

“I’m taking time away from everything from music, my family and I’ll go serve a mission for my church. It was a tough decision to make,” he said.

“I’m a Mormon. You see the guys with the nametags and shirt and tie,” he added.

Archuleta, however, promised that after doing his missionary work, he will return to making music.

Shalani Soledad not returning in Wiltime Bigtime as co-host!

Shalani Soledad was sighted crying in a dinner meeting with Wil Productions (WTBT) business head Jay Montelibano in a Quezon City restaurant. Upon verification, he said that Shalani is no longer returning to WTBT as host. This is contrary to Shalani’s announcement that she would return to WTBT this week upon her return from honeymoon with Rep. Roman Romulo. As reported by TODO! ENTERTAINMENT (FOLLOW THAT SUPERSTAR!), new co-host Camille Villar appeared to be Shalani’s replacement.

Getting into the nerves of Camille Villar

We remember seeing a new face once in Wil Time Bigtimewhile surfing the TV channels. We remember stopping to listen, finding the new girl adept at her hosting job and wondering who she was. Next time around, she was no longer around.
Late last week, we were invited by Lolit Solis to lunch with one of her “alagas” she said, and since we hadn’t seen her in a while, we quickly said yes. At Cibo in Greenhills, we chatted over lunch while waiting for a girl named Camille Villar. Soon enough, in came a young girl whom Lolit quickly introduced to us. We quickly recognized her as that girl we had noticed in Wil Time Bigtime and told her so. We asked why she had disappeared when we tuned in to the show another time.
It turned out that Camille, 27, (looking like a teener) was no ordinary wannabe host on television. Her guest hosting in Wil Time Bigtime came about when regular host Mariel Rodriguez had to take a leave to accompany husband Robin Padilla on his birthday out of the country. Camille is the only daughter of realty giant, Sen. Manny and Cynthia Villar. Sen. Manny had come so close to winning the presidency in 2010 until a series of unexpected changes in the political landscape led to the final unforeseen presidential and vice-presidential results.
A Business Management graduate of the Ateneo, she now heads the 30-strong Britanny division of her dad’s company that develops luxury properties in Sta. Elena City, Sta. Rosa in Laguna, Portofino in Daang Hari, Alabang as well as the Crosswinds in Tagaytay. She confirms she is exactly where she wants to be, in real estate, where she swears she will still be 10 years hence. She has two brothers who had also tried out the business. For now, she just wants to concentrate on the show of Willie, because Willie is close to the family, her dad is assured she will be cared for, and she likes the concept to helping people and making them happy. She doesn’t see herself part of show business. “Tita, wala akong talent kumanta, sumayaw, at umarte, aaminin ko na. Even hosting is a learning process.” No commercials, even as a kid? She thinks back and remembers a drink called Aloe Youth that she once did.

We probe further, doesn’t she think the format is espousing dependence and laziness? That Willie, perhaps in his eagerness to help people, is quick to pull out a thousand pesos as reward, so that instead of searching for jobs, it becomes their ultimate goal to get into Wil Time Bigtime? “I don’t think so,” Camille quickly replies. We get the feeling that we are now getting into her nerves with our constant questioning. Her answers are no longer thought-out but they come out in rapid fashion.We needle her into trying out more entertainment-based activities. She muses, then says, “My dad has always said to seize all the opportunities that come your way since that is the only way one progresses. But for now, I’m very happy with Wil Time Bigtime.” She describes it as a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that has come her way to help people. Being in the show, seeing old people and kids, hearing of their struggles inlife, and being given the chance to help them are what to her make it a unique experience.
“Many of them have jobs and are trying their best. I also think that sometimes people need to be given an opportunity to catch a lucky break. People who are there, pinangarap nila ito, na makapasok sila. And this is just one day of their lives, and Willie and I, too, feel so blessed that pag andun na sila, gusto mo na lang sila pasayahin, di ba, ayaw mo na silang lumungkot. In whatever capacity you can, it’s more like sharing. Willie has achieved so much, and the reason why he loves the people is na parang family na niya, like throughout all his struggles hindi siya iniwan, kahit saan siya pumunta sinusundan siya nila. I think what he’s doing in the show is not that he is teaching them to be tamad but just sharing his blessings. I think that’s very important. And that’s the same view we share, that my Dad shares. I believe in that.”
