Asked about his comments on the issue during a fashion event on Wednesday, he replied, “Medyo nakakainins kasi nadamay ako at saka ‘yung pangalan ko.”
The word about Bautista’s alleged deportation spread quickly after an Indonesian newspaper reported the issue, citing Indonesian immigration official Herawan Sukoaji’s statement saying that Bautista had traveled to Indonesia numerous times on a work visa "but this time, the sponsor did not fully understand the immigration regulations, so Christian used the free visa."
The singer’s camp, however, immediately belied the report.
Bautista said he is now doing his best to redeem his public image here and abroad.
“Ang mission ko ngayon is to prove sa Pilipinas at sa Indonesia na wala akong kasalanan at kailangan i-publicize ko talaga ‘yon para makabalik na ako doon, makatrabaho na ako doon,” he said.
Currently, Bautista said they are in constant coordination with the Indonesian Embassy to resolve the mess.
“We’re still fixing things with Indonesian immigration kasi nga ‘yung agent ko got the wrong agent who got the wrong visa and I performed,” he said.
“Siyempre due process of law. Okay lang naman wala akong problema sa immigration, pero inaayos lang 'yung papers.”
