3 GMA shows win at 47th Anvil Awards!

GMA 7 brought home three distinctions from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) at the 47th Anvil Awards held last Feb. 24 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel for its high caliber public relations tools and campaigns.

The GMA PR programs that earned merit awards from the Anvil include the EDSA 25th Anniversary (PR tools multimedia and infomercials category), and the commemorative campaign on Dr. Jose Rizal’s 150th birthday, Idol Ko Si Rizal, and the specialized Christmas project Saludo Sa Puso ng Pinoy (PR programs category).

The Network’s EDSA 25th Anniversary Campaign was awarded for its authentic retelling of the People PowerRevolution. It featured ordinary citizens sharing their experiences during EDSA 1.

Hero Ko Si Rizal, meanwhile, presented different vignettes of modern-day Filipinos narrating why Rizal holds a special place in their hearts.

Finally, Saludo sa Puso ng Pinoy was recognized for its simple but no less genuine portrayal of the Christmas spirit. Known as the Oscars of the PR profession, the prestigious Anvil Awards recognizes excellent practices and programs in local public relations.
