Lovi Poe shines in and out of Philippines!

One of the hottest female artists in showbiz today, Lovi Poe (photo) has gone beyond the spotlight of being a daughter of the late great Fernando Poe Jr. to being a star on her own. She’s everywhere nowadays, appearing in films, teleseryes, TVCs, magazine covers and print ads. And now, she’s even getting more attention not only in the Philippines but internationally as well.

Esquire Magazine Mexico featured Lovi in its January 2012 issue as reported by Esquire Philippines style director and TV host Raymond Gutierrez. A centrefold and two pages were allotted for the feature on her which served as a proof that Lovi’s beauty and talent are being noticed worldwide.

Nevertheless, the sexy and sultry image is just the icing on the cake for Lovi as her main asset is her gift for acting as noticed by award-giving bodies, movie/TV critics and fans. Her take on the role of Natasha Alcantara in the ongoing GMA 7 hit series Legacy helped assure the star-studded teleserye constant good ratings. The Jay Alterejos-directed drama turned out to be a deserving replacement for the epic-seryeAmaya. The series has been getting high ratings and good reviews for its tightly constructed plot and convincing acting, especially by Lovi. More so, its star-filled cast is a major plus factor for its success, with the likes of Heart Evangelista, Sid Lucero, Alessandra de Rossi, Solenn Heussaff and Geoff Eigenmann joining Lovi. Small wonder that Legacy trended on Twitter worldwide the day it premiered.

The Kapuso star was even quoted as saying, “I would like to thank everyone who watched Legacy and made it trend on Twitter. The audience should look forward to viewing more intense episodes.” In the series, Lovi plays marketing officer of a corporate company called Legacy. She is an adopted daughter of Eva, a bank heiress desperate for the love of a tycoon’s son.

Declared New Movie Actress of the Year by PMPC in 2008, Lovi has been a busy bombshell especially the past two years. Her noted past TV projects include Bakekang, Captain Barbell, Kaputol Ng Isang Awit and Little Star. She was cast in the lead role of Aswang and took her role with finesse and sensuality that best capture today’s audiences. Lovi also received a double acting nomination from the forthcoming Star Awards.
