Directed by Rahyan Carlos, the horror-drama movie in celebration of Star Magic's 20th anniversary, stars Jake Cuenca, Jodi Sta. Maria, Dimples Romana, Joem Bascon along with 160 workshop participants.
In an interview with Push.com.ph,Cuenca said he is grateful to have a role in the project because that is also how he started in show business.
“Naalala ko noong nasa [kabilang network] pa ako, doon din ako nagsimula as a workshopper... Ang ka-partner ko naman noon si Chynna Ortaleza,” he said.
“Parang first time ko 'yun na matikman na maging bida dahil kay Direk Rahyan. Kaya noong inalok sa akin ni Mr. M [Johnny Manahan] ito, pumayag ako to do it kasi three days lang and with Direk Rahyan Carlos pa. How could I say no?” the actor added.
Cuenca said he is also flattered that Manahon chose him to be part of this project,
“Kasi, sobrang bait niya sa amin, sa mga artista. Parang tatay siya sa aming lahat. So kapag si Mr. M ang humingi, hindi ka talaga hihindi. Kasi minsan ka lang naman magkaroon ng oportunidad na magpasalamat sa kanya,” he said.
Meanwhile, Cuenca shared that he got surprised when he worked with the workshop participants.
“Actually, nung ginawa ko 'yung unang eksena, nagulat ako kasi I was expecting very new actors and actresses. Pero ang galing nila, unang eksena pa lang, effortless yung pag-iyak nila, parang hindi na prinaktis,” he said.
Cuenca said this makes him more proud to be part of Star Magic.
“I’m very proud of them. Dito mo talaga masasabi na iba talaga ang training ng Star Magic. Hindi pa sila sumasalang sa showbiz magaling na sila umarte,” he said.
