Filipina International singer Lea Salonga is excited to share the stage with American R&B singer James Ingram, who is coming to Manila for two shows.
"Well actually the schedule was open when the inquiry came in to guest with James Ingram. My mom said 'he's coming are you interested?' And of course it's James Ingram, so I said yes," Salonga said.
The Tony Award winner admitted that she's a fan of Ingram. She has a great respect for the latter, whom she described as one of the best artists.
"So at least masasabi ko na kahit minsan lang nagkasama kami nagka-duet kami and I'm sure because of his experience there are still of lot things that I can pick up. Salamat na lang at free ang schedule na hanggang Cebu ay makakasama ako," she said.
Salonga said that some of her favorites Ingram songs are "I Will Be There," "Just Once" and "I Don't Have A Heart."
Ingram is expected to wow his Filipino fans with his hits in the concert at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on February 17 and at Waterfront Hotel, Cebu on February 18.
A producer and also a songwriter, Ingram will also be celebrating his 50th birthday in Manila on February 16
