Toengi shared the news on Sunday via the microblogging site Twitter.
“ALL SYSTEMS GO! I am MOVING back to the PHILIPPINES-for good this time with my family! Lots of opportunities I just can't refuse :)EXCITING!” she tweeted.
Toengi is currently based in Los Angeles, California with her husband and two kids, Kenobi Benjamin and Sakura Anne Marie.
She left her acting career in the Philippines to try her luck in Hollywood, where she landed a role in “Saved by the Bell: The Musical” and as a fan in “America’s Next Top Model."
Toengi was a member of the pioneer batch of Star Circle (now Star Magic) at ABS-CBN and was cast in the teen show “Gimik.” She also appeared in “Gimik: The Movie” and a reunion special in “Your Song.."
Apart from acting, Toengi was also a VJ in MTV Asia and even recorded an album, "Very G."
She was last seen in the 2010 movie, “Nobody, Nobody But Juan,” starring Dolphy.
Her announcement was immediately welcomed by her friends in the Philippines.
Among them is actress Iza Calzado, who replied to Toengi's tweet: “Yaaaay!!! :) happy for you G! C u soon!”
Toengi then replied back: "yay can't wait to hang out and revolutionize our profession :)"
