Janice de Belen reiterated that she’s not interested in renewing ties with her ex-husband John Estrada even if it’s work-related. “I don’t think there's a need for us to work together. Okay naman na ‘di kami mag-work. It doesn’t have anything to do with moving on. I’ve moved on a long time ago. You know, if you work together, you have to have a good working relationship. We both don’t have any kind of relationship at all,” she began.
The talented actress-host also made it clear that she’d rather not be the one to interview him just in case he gets featured in her new talk show Showbiz Inside Report. “If there is an issue [pwede ko siguro siyang interbyuhin], ‘wag naman yung gumawa tayo ng issue. And if there is an issue, titignan din naman siguro nila kung kanino [sa amin nila Joey Marquez, Carmina Villarroel at Ogie Diaz] fit ang issue.”
At the very least, Janice doesn’t mind talking to his wife Priscilla Meirelles instead. “Hindi naman issue yun [na magkakaanak na sila ni John]. Natural lang yun ‘di ba? Okay ako mag-interview kay Priscilla. Ha! Ha! Ha! Okay naman yun, hindi naman issue yun. Eventuality ng buhay yun eh. We will see. Like I said, if there is an issue, pero huwag niyo naman ipilit.”
On her part, Janice claimed that she’s in no rush to find romance in her life right now. And if there’s anything she discovered about herself, it’s the fact that she’s worth the time and effort of a man. “Yung puso ko, okay naman, nasa tamang lugar naman, walang sugat. Wala akong pag-ibig. Alam mo, darating ‘yan. Kahit nakatago ako sa likod ng pintuan mahahanap nila ako. Tsaka I deserve to be found this time.”
Now that she’s focused on her showbiz career, Janice felt that she’s not ready to invest in her emotions by entering into a serious commitment. “If you’re in a relationship, aside from the fact that you need to be there physically, you need to be there emotionally a hundred percent, minsan two hundred percent pa. I cannot afford to give too much. Right now, I’m emotionally exhausted. I’m enjoying what I have right now. Saka na muna yang iba.”
Is it possible for her to fall in love with a much younger man? “E di ang magiging status ko nun sa Facebook emotionally sagad? Huwag na, ano ba! Yung panganay ko twenty-four years old [na]. It’s too much work.”
