3 months after giving birth, Regine Velasquez now used to mommy duties!

Regine Velasquez is enjoying her first months of being a mother to her baby, Nathan.

“Masaya, pero mahirap umalis ng bahay, like ngayon, I had to leave him,” Regine said in an interview with Karen Davila and Vic Lima on dzMM.

She said that if possible, she wants to be with her son all the time to give him the right nourishment.

“I’m a breastfeeding mommy, full time, walang mix,” Regine said. “I want to breastfeed him sana for a year. Hindi pa naman ako babalik sa work. Itong Valentine concert lang.”

Regine is referring to her concert with husband Ogie Alcasid on Valentine’s Day at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“Now nag-hire ang husband ko ng nurse [to attend to our son] kasi I have to sleep dahil may concert,” Regine said. “Pero after ng concert I’ll be back [right away], I’m used to it naman na eh.”

But at the moment, the couple is hard at work on their concert, which Ogie said is very different from their past concerts together.

“Pangatlo na namin ‘to. Pero ngayon lang kami magco-concert na kasal na kami at may baby na kami,” Ogie said, “so syempre ‘yong kwento ng concert namin medyo iba na nang kaunti.

“[We devised it] in a way na ‘yong kwento magsisimula sa ligawan, ta’s maga-asawa, ta’s magkakaroon ng pamilya, ta’s syempre ‘yong kaunting tampuhan, tapos magkakabalikan.

“Ano bang ginagawa ng lalaki para suyuin yung asawa niya, so ini-interweave namin don 'yong mga kanta namin.”

Concert guests who will help tell the “story” on February 14 include Dingdong Dantes, Vice Ganda, Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos and Kyla.

On the possibility of their son being a singer too, Regine said, on the condition he finished college first, "If he wants to be a singer, then yes."
